Choose this if scrambling is the point of your morning. The climb up Great Saint includes sections that need balance on rock. Groups have up to 6 people. There are three people per mountain guide.

Meet your guide in the centre of old Kastraki for a safety briefing. A helmet and harness are included with the via ferrata equipment. The climb reaches a viewpoint on Great Saint. You come back down the same trail.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are excluded. Bottled water is included. There are no monastery visits. Rain cancels the scramble with a full refund or an alternative date.

    We'll meet at the center of the old habitation of Kastraki village, where you'll meet your expert guide and receive a safety briefing and all the equipment you need, including helmets and harnesses, to ensure your safety on this exciting hike. If you prefer, we also offer an optional pick-up service.

  2. Short stop

    As you make your way up the trail, you'll encounter some challenging rock formations that will require scrambling and balancing skills. Don't worry, your experienced guide will be there to provide support and ensure your safety throughout the tour. At the top of the Great Saint, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Meteora rocks and monasteries. Take some time to catch your breath and enjoy the scenery before descending back down the trail.
