You see all six monasteries from outside on this sunset ride. Stops include the Badovas caves and the Byzantine church. The descent to Kalabaka follows sunset.

Choose this for a sunset ride with caves and church stops. The pace is slow to moderate with photo breaks. No monastery is entered. The group has up to 22 riders.

The first stop is the Byzantine church in Kalabaka. The route continues to the Badovas caves and the small church of Protato. You see all six monasteries from outside before the sunset stop. The downhill ride back to Kalabaka begins after sunset.

The e-bike and helmet are included. You also get water and a reflective vest. A raincoat is available if needed. The Byzantine church entrance fee is extra.

  • Meet at the bike shop beside Shell in Kalabaka. Hotel transfer is excluded.
  • Check the departure time for your date. The ride returns after sunset.
  • Cyclists must be at least 150 cm tall.
  • Booking ages are 0 to 3 or 12 to 75. Infant seats are available.
  • This ride is not recommended during pregnancy or for people with heart problems.
  • Bad weather can cancel the ride. You get a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure.

    Our partner will wait for you in the meeting point to provide all the necessary information about your ride and all the safety equipments, after that your amazing ride starts. First stop will be the 1000 years old Byzantine church which is built in the most panoramic spot of the city. The church with the amazing hagiographies and the historical background which goes way back to the centuries.

  2. Meteora

    Our partner after visiting the byzantine church will take you and help you to explore the unique area of Meteora. Your ride will include places that is not possible to be seen by car or larger groups as the hermit caves of Bandova and the small church Protato which is older than most of the monasteries. Then you will cycle among the giant rocks and you will have the opportunity to see all six still active monasteries of the area and also those that they are ruined in our days. After finishing all the historical sightseeing it is time for you to see the magnificent sunset on Meteora observation deck aka Sunset theater.

  3. Kalambaka

    Now the most fun and feel free part of the tour starts, the downhill. After the sun will set our partner will bring you down to the city of Kalabaka, where this once in a lifetime experince will end.
