Choose this if Theopetra Cave matters as much as the monasteries. The price is per group. Choose "group with max 4 guests" or "group of 5 to 8 guests" for your party.

After pickup in Athens you stop for coffee before Theopetra Cave. The monastery circuit plans Great Meteoron, Varlaam and St Stephen. Lunch is at a family restaurant. A coffee stop in Kamena Vourla breaks the return.

Private transport and fizzy drinks are included. Lunch and all admission fees cost extra. Monastery closing days can change the route.

Before you book

  • Pickup details arrive the day before the tour.
  • Choose the option for up to four guests or for five to eight.
  • Lunch is around 14:30. Bring a snack.
  • You need a moderate level of fitness.
  • Bring cash for monastery doors. Cave admission is extra.
  • Cover shoulders. Women need a long skirt. Men need long trousers.
  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Lunch is around 14:30 is good to have a snack with you // To enter monasteries of Meteora, all men are required to wear long pants, while sleeveless t-shirts or sleeveless shirts are strictly forbidden! For ladies’ long skirts are needed while shoulders must be covered at all times. All Meteora monasteries at the entrances do provide skirts and scarves for ladies to cover themselves. They don’t provide clothing for men though. Be aware that men who show up at the entrance of monasteries with very short pants or sleeveless shirts will be denied access!
  • The price is for the whole group, not per person.
